About Us

Dan founded Mayer & Associates in 1976. He is an Accredited Tax Advisor (ATA), Accredited Business Accountant (ABA), Elder Care Specialist (ECS), Accredited Retirement Advisor (ARA) and is enrolled to practice and represent clients before the Internal Revenue Service (EA). He is an active member of the National Society of Accountants and a past president of the Wisconsin Association of Accountants. He is a member of the Taylor County Sportsman’s Club, the Whittlesey Lions, the Medford Bowling Association (past president) and is a trustee at the Holy Rosary Parish. He enjoys hunting, fishing, golfing, bowling and spending time with his wife, Kathy, their three adult children, 11 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Darcie has been with Mayer & Associates since 1998. An active member of the National Society of Accountants, she earned her degree in Accounting from NTC and is an Accredited Business Accountant. She's also certified in Computer Technology and is enrolled to practice and represent clients before the Internal Revenue Service (EA). In her spare time, Darcie enjoys walking, reading, being outside, cheering on the Green Bay Packers, watching her kids play sports, and spending time with her husband, Chuck, their five children, and four grandchildren.

Justin joined Mayer & Associates in January 2007. He is an active member of the National Association of Accountants and a board director for the Wisconsin Association of Accountants. ​Justin is an avid golfer, hunter, and outdoorsman. Along with the rest of his family, he loves to cheer on the Green Bay Packers! Justin and his wife, Lindsey, live in Medford with their three children.

Special Interests: information technology, farm accounting, farm tax

Jessica has been with Mayer & Associates since 2002. She earned a degree in Accounting from NTC. Jessica enjoys traveling, reading, photography and spending time with her husband, Davis, and their two sons.

Special interests: payroll, payroll compliance issues, bank reconciliation

Susie has been with Mayer & Associates since December 2019. She's passionate about helping people and making meaningful connections. With a background in customer service and office management, she's spent years learning the ins and outs of making sure people feel heard, valued, and supported. She believes kindness and genuine care go a long way. When she's not working, she enjoys spending time with family—her husband, their son, and loved ones. They love relaxing at the lake, hosting gatherings, and finding joy in the simple things. She also has a deep love of learning and is always reading or exploring new topics to broaden her horizons. Antique shopping is another favorite pastime, where she can hunt for unique finds with a history. 

Desirae has been with Mayer & Associates since 2022. She graduated from NTC with a degree in accounting. Desirae loves anything that includes the outdoors and spending time with her husband Alex and all their dogs. She has found a new love for gardening and preserving foods along with making anything sourdough. You can also catch her coaching middle school volleyball along with playing volleyball in fun leagues throughout the year.
